It’s been a busy couple of months. I’ve been neglectful of my blog, but not of the Show-Me List. While working my ass off getting the Kirkwood house ready for sale – cleaning, scheduling contractors, cleaning, shredding, recycling, donating, cleaning, packing and cleaning some more – I have also spent time experiencing St. Louis.
It is with cruel irony that as I move from this city I appreciate what it has to offer even more than when I lived here. But that means when I come back for visits I not only have plenty of people to see but plenty things to do.
In the next two week the blog will be bombarded with posts and pics of the following:
- Restaurants: Carl’s Drive In, Brunch at Benton Park Cafe, Sidney Street Cafe 10th Anniversary Dinner, Niche, Sump Coffee, Bar Les Freres
- Events: Kirkwood High School Trivia Night, St. Louis International Film Fest, Naughti Gras, Mardi Gras, Miss Jubilee at the Thaxton Speakeasy, St. Louis Blues, Arch Rival Roller Derby, Funky Butt Brass Band at the Broadway Oyster Bar, finding STL 250 Birthday Cakes
- Sites: Bellefontaine Cemetery, Lone Elk Park, Scott Joplin House, Firecracker Press
I hope you will enjoy reading about my adventures as much as I will enjoy writing about and reliving them before I move in April.
